at Colombo Airport. Meet & Greet Service. Transfer to Ratnapura and check-in
at the Ratnaloka Tour Inn. |

Sightseeing tour of the well known "City of Gems". You will visit a
gem mine to see the traditional mining techniques as fortune seeking miners clad
in their loincloth excavate the earth searching for `Illama' - the gem bearing
gravel, the Ratnapura region bares almost all varieties of gems found in Sri Lanka.
There is also an interesting Gem Museum to be visited. Some of the largest Blue
Sapphires in the world have been found in Sri Lanka. Return to Hotel for dinner
and overnight stay. |

morning excursion to Sinharaja Rain Forest for a Nature walk with picnic breakfast.
Bordered by numerous rivers and streams this is one of the least disturbed lowland
Rainforests remaining in Sri Lanka. Covering approximately 9000 hectares, the
mysterious and enchanting forest is still under study as it has a wild profusion
of trees and plants as well as a wealth of Mammals, Reptiles , Insects and Bird
species. On completion, return to hotel for lunch. |

to Hotel. Lunch. Leave for Kuda-Oya. Check-in to the Task Safari Camp. Jungle
Trek to view Elephants at Debara Aara. Return for Dinner and overnight stay at
Task Safari Camp. |

morning walk along Nature Trail. Picnic Breakfast. Return to Campsite. |
| PM | Lunch.
Excursion to Uda Walawe Wildlife Park by Jeep. Situated around the Uda Walawe
reservoir this park spreads over an area of 30,800 hectares Consisting mainly
of grassland this park is famous for its Herds of Wild Elephant, with an estimated
population of over 500 living within the park. Sambar, Wild Buffalo, Sloth Bear,
Crocodile as well as Leopard are the other larger animals that live here. It is
also abundant in its Bird and Reptile variety.Return to the Campsite. Dinner and
overnight stay at Task Safari Camp. |

04 | AM | Breakfast.
Leave for Ella. Board Train at Ella Railway Station and proceed to Nanu Oya Railway
Station. Pick up from station and , transfer to Rock Hotel. Lunch. |
| PM | Sightseeing
in Nuwara Eliya. Situated at an elevation of 1890 Metres. This town was the most
popular hill station of the British during their rule. And you will see their
influence as you pass through areas very much reminiscent of the countryside of
England which has earned Nuwara Eliya the name "Little England". This
is also the centre of the Tea Growing regions of the island. The Golf Club
of Nuwara Eliya has an excellent 18 hole course. Return to Hotel for dinner &
overnight stay at the hotel. |

05 | AM | Early
morning excursion to Horton Plains with picnic breakfast. Spread over 3160 hectares
these quiet and mysterious plains are a paradise for Trekkers. Forming a plateau
within some of the highest mountain peaks in Sri Lanka, the southern part of the
plains comes to an abrupt end, dropping over 700 metres straight down. This spectacular
place is called the "World's End". Leopard, Herds of Sambar & Bear
Monkey live in the plains. A variety of birds can also be seen here. Grassland
dominates the plains with pockets of forest cover spread out in areas. Horton Plains
is a place of very special desolate type of beauty. Commence trek to World's End. |

at the Rock hotel. Thereafter, proceed to Kandy through the scenic mountain route.
Visit a tea factory en-route. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Tree of
Life Hotel, Kandy. |

06 | AM | Breakfast.
Leave for Kandy city sightseeing. Known as the Hill Capital, this city is situated
deep within lush green hills near Sri Lanka's longest river, Mahaweli. The surroundings
of Kandy are the perfect picture of a Tropical Landscape. Historically the Kandyan
Kingdom originated in 1357 and was the last stronghold of the country's Royalty
until 1815 when it came under the British rule. Proceed to visit the Royal Botanical
Gardens of Peradeniya, which began as a pleasure garden for the Kings of Kandy.
the rich flora of the tropics is exhibited at its best here. Return to hotel for
lunch. |

afternoon vist the Dalada Maligawa. (Temple of the Tooth Relic) and thereafter,
proceed to an auditorium to witness a typical Kandyan cultural dance troupe perform
. Return to the hotel for Dinner and overnight stay. |

at the hotel. At Leisure. |
| PM | After
lunch at a Restaurant, depart to Colombo. En route visit the Pinnawela Elephant
Orphanage, the home to almost 70 Elephants of different ages you will have the
opportunity to watch this herd as they bathe and play in the river nearby. There
are many babies and almost all these Elephants are ones that have been found in
the jungles lost and separated from their herds or with injuries. This is a heartwarming
experience. Proceed to Colombo. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Lanka
Oberoi. |
